The vision of the PPHS Library is to have all students engaged with their wider world, through reading, collaborative learning and research. We aim to develop independent thinkers who can make their own informed life choices. We advocate reading for pleasure as an essential part of the 21st century education.

The PPHS Library supports students in being effective digital citizens though providing access to quality information sources. Students are encouraged to apply the CRAPU method of evaluating websites and to be guided by the PPHS Three Steps to Effective Web Searches as seen below.

Students are encouraged to join the NSW State Library for FREE access to research databases and other online resources. The NSW State Library can be joined by visiting their website at https://www.sl.nsw.gov.au/.

The Teacher Librarian and Library SLSO are available to support students in their research during study lessons or at recess and lunch.

PPHS eBooks and AudioBooks can be accessed anywhere, anytime, on multiple devices. This can be by using a direct web link https://picnicpoinths.eplatform.co/ or download the app to your device/devices!

Signing in is as simple as selecting our Library ‘Picnic Point High School’ and then use your school username and password.

Happy reading!
