Bring Your Own Device (BYOD)
The school commenced a BYOD program with Year 7 in 2021 and in 2024 all years from 7-12 were BYOD. This move was fully supported by our school community through surveys and meetings conducted in 2020 and 2023. The BYOD program ensures students are well equipped with the necessary skills for all future pathways.
Students in Years 7-12 are required to bring a fully charged laptop to school everyday to enhance learning opportunities through a variety of online activities including: engaging educational platforms, online submission of tasks/homework, interactive formative assessment programs, and multimodal presentations with embedded videos and links to further resources.
Year 7 students are provided a BYOD Student Handbook on Orientation Day and all students in Years 7-12 are expected to follow the protocols and expectations outlined in their student user agreement which includes:
- NSW DoE Behaviour Code for Students
- Student Use of Digital Devices and Online Services (pages 15-18 of the General Information Guide 2025 located on the Home page of this website)
