Year 9 Marine Studies Snorkelling Competency Assessment

Marine Studies students will go to the Pools to be assessed for their snorkelling competency, such as swim underwater for a few seconds and a certain distance.

Normal school uniform required. Students get changed at venue into their swimmers. Students must bring their own snorkelling gear.

1) Swim safety requirement prior to being allowed to doing any on the water work
2) Demonstrate enclosed area shallow water snorkelling competency before being permitted to do any open water snorkelling in future activities.
