Peer Support Training Year 9

Date/Time: Thursday 14 November 2024 9:05am - 3:05pm (Day 1 training)
Friday 15 November 2024 9:05am - 3:05pm (Day 2 training)

Description: Peer Support Training for selected Year 9 students to deliver the Peer Support Program for Year 7 students in their transition to high school in 2025.

Food: On Day 2 of the training, students will be provided with a BBQ to celebrate the completion of their training as Peer Leaders. Halal and vegetarian options available.

Educational Outcomes: The Peer Support Program is provided for Year 7 students in their transition to high school in 2025.

In 2024, Year 9 students are trained as leaders for this program and will work with Year 7 students during Term 1, 2025. The training and program helps to develop leadership qualities, self confidence and self-esteem, as well as a deeper sense of understanding and time management skills.
