Dear Parents and Carers
You may have noticed that during the holidays, electronic gates have been installed at the front of the school. This includes a gate at the driveway and a pedestrian access gate. These gates have been installed as a security measure and will be fully functional within a couple of days. The gates will be open at certain times to allow daily flow but outside of those times, access is operated via the front office using an intercom system.
So that we can best support our students, families and staff in as timely a manner as possible, we would like to remind families:
- Students should be dropped off/picked up from outside the school gates and not from within the school premises except in the case of emergency or in special circumstances previously arranged with the school.
- Parents/carers who want to meet with a DP, Year Adviser or teacher, should ring the school first to make an appointment. Teachers are often unable to meet with parents without notice as they are teaching so making a prior appointment will help organise a time suitable for all.
- Please try to avoid arriving at the school to pick up your child during the day without prior approval. Send a letter with your child in the morning or ring the school, a pass out can be arranged and students can sign out from the office and leave the school premises.
- Please try and encourage your child to be organised in order to minimise dropping off items such as lunch, homework and other accessories.
We thank you for your understanding and cooperation.
