At our school, student wellbeing and learning go hand in hand. We want every student to feel safe, included and ready to learn. Whether your child needs help with their mental, emotional, social or physical wellbeing, we are here to help them thrive at school and in daily life.
How we support student wellbeing
Supporting each student’s mental, emotional, social and physical wellbeing is part of everyday school life.
We do this through:
- teachers who help students feel welcome and included
- access to school counsellors, school psychologists and specialist staff
- programs that support health, social skills, attendance and positive behaviour
- help for students who are new or changing year levels
- clear expectations for behaviour and respectful relationships
- staff who get to know each child and work closely with families
- developing health care plans for students
- open communication about wellbeing and support.

School Counsellor/Psychologist
Need to see the counsellor? Students can self-refer via this link to our online form.
Referrals to the School Counsellor can be initiated by parents or carers by contacting the school.
School counselling and psychological support is confidential and provided by registered psychologists. School staff may recommend or make a referral to the School Counsellor/School Psychologist.
School Counsellors/Psychologists can assist with psychological assessment, counselling support, therapeutic interventions, learning and behaviour support needs, referral to additional services.
Student Support Officer
Our SSO Shahn is available to see all students and is located in the top of A block. Shahn is also highly visible in the playground at recess and lunch. Go and introduce yourself to him he is always happy to meet and greet all members of our community.
Mobile Phones
Our school supplies Yondr pouches to students for the safe storage of phones whilst at school and school events. This process aligns to the NSW Government Student Use of Mobile Phones ban in public high schools.
Social Media
The Australian Government has placed age restrictions on social media use for children under 16 years. To access further information regarding the platforms/apps available for your child visit e-safety . If your child has experienced abuse online, please contact your nearest police station and report the abuse to e-safety immediately.
